Nuclear Medicine
What is Nuclear Medicine?
Nuclear Medicine studies are performed in the hospital setting at both Rideout and Fremont Hospitals. Our speciatly trained radiologists study the images created by the generation of energy in the body created from radioactive substances given via IV or oral ingestion. The resulting images allow the radiologist to evaluate disease patterns in areas such as the heart, bones, pulmonary, renal, gallbladder and thyroid.
